The Universe of Chemicals is a comprehensive database managed by ECHA, designed to assist Member States and EU authorities in identifying substances of (potential) concern and determining appropriate regulatory actions. This tool also enables companies to gain insight into the most critical substances in their products that may face future regulation.
This report provides an overview of more than 5,000 substances used in cosmetics and their regulatory status. It offers a clear picture of the substances currently under authorities’ scrutiny, whether they require additional data to better assess their hazardous properties or face potential restrictions on their use. In addition, the report categorises cosmetics substances according to their functions, making it easier to identify areas of concern and potential risks.
Feel free to contact us if you want to receive more information or if you would like us to run a full assessment of your portfolio of substances and products.
